3. Toyota Yaris

Toyota Yaris a b-segment sedan debuted in March 2020 in Pakistan. Toyota IMC already planned to replace Corolla 1.3L XLi/GLi variants and in competition with Honda City, they introduced Yaris in our local market. 

Yaris was launched with 6 variants having both 1.3L and 1.5L engine options all of them are in line four-cylinder engines with 16-valve DOHC with dual VVT-i technology. Moreover, Manual variants have a 5-speed manual transmission, while automatic variants have a 7-speed CVT with a sport sequential shiftmatic system. 4. Changan Alsvin

In December 2020, A local partner of Changan, Master Motors introduced a B-segment sedan, Changan Alsvin. It was launched with three variants: 1.3L Manual Comfort, 1.5L DCT Comfort, and the full-option top of the line 1.5L DCT Lumiere. Later on, they also introduced another variant which is ‘Changan Alsvin Black Edition’.

The most prominent thing in Changan Alsvin, it has a Sunroof, which is not present in any of its competitors like Toyota Yaris and Honda City. Moreover, it is a value to money car equipped with the latest technology Euro 5 engine. It produces 99 – 105 Hp and 135-145 Nm of torque depending upon its variant. In replacement of Suzuki Mehran, a new 660cc Suzuki Alto was officially launched in Pakistan. It has R06A under the hood, with a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission depending upon its variant. Four variants were introduced in Alto: Alto VX (non-AC), VXR, VXR-AGS, and VXL-AGS, and later on, they introduced VXL-AGS too. Suzuki Alto produces 39 HP and 56 Nm of Torque. New Suzuki Cultus was launched in 2016 in the replacement of the previous model of Cultus. Basically, Its originally called “Celerio” however, Pak Suzuki introduced it with the label “Suzuki Cultus”.
The New Cultus was launched with two variants, VXR and VXL, with manual transmissions. Later, another variant was introduced, the VXL-AGS, which comes with an automatic transmission. Suzuki Cultus produces 67 Hp and 90 Nm of torque. According to claims, it gives 16-18 KM/L of fuel on average and has a fuel tank capacity of 35L.

Just after the discontinuation of Suzuki Bolan, Pak Suzuki launched the new Suzuki Every CKD on 12 Oct 2024 with two variants VX and VXR. It has the classic kei car design shape which meets the modern rectangular minivan’s updated look. It comes with an R06A 660cc engine with manual transmission which produces 43 Hp and 58 Nm of torque having a mind-blowing fuel mileage of 18 to 20KM/L. Unfortunately, Suzuki Every VX comes without a basic need of today’s era which is Air-Consition. Still, Pak Suzuki has decade-old strategies to differentiate their base and top of the line variant.
